Lakeport police asking public's help in identifying suspected credit card thief

Police are investigating a case of stolen credit cards from a Lakeport business.|

Lakeport police are hoping someone will recognize a photo they've released of a woman they suspect in a stolen credit card case.

The investigation started with a wallet stolen on August 16 from a shopping cart at a Lakeport business, Sgt. Gary Basor said in a news release.

The victim told police the wallet had gone missing and a few hours later one of the victim’s credit cards was used in Clearlake. The woman using the card was captured on surveillance video and police released the photo, seeking the public’s help.

Basor asked anyone who knows the identity of the woman to contact Officer Odom at 707-263-5491.
