A mother and her two children were injured in a car crash Thursday morning in Windsor when another vehicle pulled out in front of their car.

The mother, who was taking her kids to school, was northbound on Hembree Lane in a Diatsu Charade when the driver of an Audi A3 made a left turn from Leafhaven Lane into their path, police said.

The 31-year-old mother, her daughter, 12, and son, 10, were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment, Officer Scott McKinnon said.

McKinnon said the girl in the front of the Diatsu dislocated her hip. The mother complained of back and neck pain and sustained a fractured ankle. The 10-year-old boy in the backseat had a bloody nose, but had no broken bones, according to McKinnon.

The crash was reported just before 8:15 a.m. McKinnon said the Diatsu appeared to be traveling within the 40-mph speed limit when the Audi pulled out from the side street. The preliminary investigation showed the driver of the Audi was at fault, he said.

The driver of the Audi was not injured.
