Gunfire between motorists reported in Petaluma neighborhood

About four or five gunshots were exchanged by occupants of vehicles racing Monday night in a west Petaluma neighborhood, police said.

No injuries were reported, but one stray bullet entered the kitchen of a house on Burlington Drive, Sgt. Ed Crosby said in a press release Tuesday.

The shots were fired about 9:40 p.m. in the vicinity of Madison Street between Ellis Street and Arlington Drive, he said. No suspects have been identified.
