An Arizona woman remained hospitalized Monday with life-threatening injuries sustained in a weekend crash that led to the arrest of a Santa Rosa man on suspicion of drunken driving, CHP officials said.
Lori Ryan, 53, of Anthem, Ariz. was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital following the 3:35 p.m. Sunday collision on Los Amigos Road north of Windsor, Officer Jon Sloat said. She was in critical condition in the intensive care unit Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Ryan was in the front passenger seat of a southbound 2015 Dodge Avenger driven by Donald Kraft, 54, of Chandler, Ariz.
A 2004 Ford Mustang heading northbound crossed over the double yellow lines, striking a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse and then crashing into the Dodge, Sloat said.
Officers arrested the Mustang’s driver, Pablo Jacobo, 33, on suspicion of felony drunken driving at Memorial Hospital after he was treated for minor injuries, the CHP said.
Jacobo’s blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit for drivers, according to Sloat.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Douglas Sherman, 42, of Stockton, was not injured but his passenger, Carol Sherman, 42, of Stockton was taken to a hospital after complaining of pain, Sloat said.
