Dog’s day out includes visit to Santa Rosa Kohl’s

Employees at Kohl's in Santa Rosa got a surprise visitor Friday when a stocky pit bull wandered into the store on Airway Drive.

Eric Njenga said the muscular dog gave employees a start as they came out of an elevator, but that the pooch was 'friendly and very curious.'

The store's employees nicknamed him 'Butch,' and a manager kept an eye on the dog until someone from Sonoma County's Animal Services Department came to pick him up.

Njenga sent in a short video of Butch cruising around a back room at the store.

The dog, which was microchipped, was able to be returned to its owner within a few hours, according to Char Mendoza at Animal Services.
