An SUV driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs was arrested Monday afternoon after he rolled his vehicle off Highway 101 near Cotati, the CHP said.
Scott Robertson, 48, of Rohnert Park lost control of his Ford Explorer while changing northbound lanes at about noon Monday, veering off the road into a guardrail and causing the SUV to flip, Officer Jon Sloat said.
Rancho Adobe firefighters had to break a window to get him out of the vehicle, fire Capt. Jimmy Bernal said.
Robertson suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He was later arrested there on suspicion of driving under the influence, Sloat said.
The crash occurred south of Railroad Avenue on the Cotati grade. One northbound lane was temporarily shut down after the crash.
