Stash of drugs, cash seized from Calistoga home

Officials in Napa County said more than $20,000 and evidence of drug sales were taken from a Calistoga home earlier this month as part of a wider investigation.|

Napa County’s Special Investigations Bureau on Tuesday said that its officers seized $23,280 in cash, a gun, cocaine and evidence of drug sales from a Calistoga home.

A 24-year-old resident of the Lake Street house, Leonardo Sanchez, was arrested after an undercover drug bust in Sacramento, Napa Special Investigations Bureau Lt. Gary Pitkin said. Agents with a drug task force working in Sacramento, El Dorado and Placer counties suspect Sanchez was the supplier of 5 pounds of methamphetamine sold by another suspect to an undercover agent.

Napa law enforcement searched Sanchez’s home the night of Feb. 4., the same day Sanchez was booked into the Sacramento County Jail without bail on suspicion of felony transporting or selling of meth, booking records show.
