Fire destroys travel trailer near Rohnert Park

Fire officials said the Sunday blaze at a property just north of Rohnert Park city limits prompted a flurry of 911 calls.|

A travel trailer parked next to a house near Rohnert Park burned to the ground early Sunday, fire officials said.

Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to the Millbrae Avenue residence near Redwood Drive, Rancho Adobe Fire Battalion Chief Herb Wandel said.

The first of several 911 calls reporting smoke and fire came in at 12:52 a.m.

The 25-to-30-foot trailer was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, Wandel said.

Rincon Valley firefighters had assistance from Rancho Adobe, Gold Ridge, Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park units.

Information about the fire’s cause wasn’t available Sunday.
