A Willits man is the second suspected intoxicated driver in a week to be arrested at a Marin County California Highway Patrol facility when officers said he drove the wrong way on Highway 101 and pulled into a weigh station.

Peter Cerrutti, 49, was held Wednesday near San Rafael after officers spotted him driving north in the southbound lanes, Officer Andrew Barclay said.

His green car entered the Marinwood inspection station and drove toward a line of trucks waiting near the scales, Barclay said.

A CHP officer blocked him from exiting and arrested him, Barclay.

Cerrutti had been driving south on the freeway when he made a U-turn and entered the facility, Barclay said.

He was suspected of being under the influence of drugs, the officer said.

The first incident occurred Tuesday when Donald Gendron, 44 of Petaluma, drove to the CHP office in Corte Madera to report a crash over the weekend, the CHP said.

Officers accused Gendron of being intoxicated when he arrived.
