A Fresno man is being held in the Mendocino County jail on suspicion of burglary, vehicle theft and receiving or concealing stolen property.

Danny Harold Spear, 22, was arrested Monday in Willits with a stolen pickup full of stolen equipment, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.

He was detained after the sheriff’s office issued a bulletin to be on the lookout for Spear, who was suspected of burglarizing the Hare Creek Nursery in Fort Bragg.

Sheriff’s deputies and Willits police discovered the truck had been reported stolen from Fresno. The bed of the truck contained 27 items reported stolen from the nursery, including chainsaws, trimmers, blowers and a water pump, officials said.

The total value of the items was $13,588, according to sheriff’s officials.

Spear was taken to the Mendocino County jail, where he is currently being held on $50,000.00 bail.
