Clearlake Police seized more than 3,000 marijuana plants and arrested five men in what was described as a large commercial operation.

The Police Department announced the bust Tuesday, which they said took place the day before on three adjacent properties on Yarrington Court.

Officers seized 2,375 outdoor marijuana plants at the first location along with some marijuana plants growing indoors. The entire front yard and surrounding side yard were used as a grow site. Vicente Sanchez Montalvo, 21, was arrested in connection with the illegal growing operation, police said.

At the next location 115 marijuana plants in a hoop house structure were seized. Carlos Cabata Zazueta, 32, was taken into custody for alleged cultivation of marijuana.

Finally, three other men were arrested on suspicion of growing marijuana at another location where 588 plants were confiscated in three hoop houses. Some of the plants were described as four to five feet in height.

The suspects were identified as Erik Felix, 20, Manuel Felix, 32, and Manuel Felix Zazueta, 53.

All five men were booked into Lake County Jail.
