Authorities investigate another Bay Area freeway shooting

The California Highway Patrol says four people have been killed in more than 20 shootings since November.|

HERCULES - A shooting on a San Francisco Bay Area freeway has left a motorist injured.

California Highway Patrol investigators are working to locate a possible suspect in the shooting late Tuesday.

KNTV reports (http://bit.ly/1YZdtFb) Wednesday that the driver was shot in the leg. His condition was not immediately available Wednesday.

The incident on Interstate 80 in Contra Costa County is the latest in a series of shootings that have happened on East Bay freeways.

The California Highway Patrol says four people have been killed in more than 20 shootings since November.

On one stretch of nearby Highway 4, security cameras are going up to ward off the shootings.

In the latest shooting, police are looking for a black Chevrolet El Camino with tinted windows.

Investigators say most of the shootings appear to be gang related.
