Stabbing reported at Santa Rosa park

Santa Rosa police Monday night were investigating a possible stabbing at Northwest Community Park on West Steele Lane in Santa Rosa, officials said.

One person was taken with stab wounds to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital after the incident, which was reported at 8:10 p.m., Santa Rosa fire officials said.

The wounded person was found by police and paramedics on a path along a creek at the park, which runs east of Marlow Road and south of West Steele Lane.

The Sonoma County sheriff’s helicopter flew over the neighborhood, assisting officers on the ground. It wasn’t immediately clear whether police had any suspects in custody.
