The Rohnert Park Police Department arrested four people on complaints of driving under the influence of alcohol in a checkpoint operation Friday night, officers said.

Officers screened 1,290 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint on the eastbound lanes along Rohnert Park Expressway near State Farm Drive, police said. The operation was held from about 7:30 p.m. Friday until 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Seven motorists were cited for driving without a license.

With the exception of one of the arrested DUI drivers, all cars were allowed to be taken home by a licensed sober driver in lieu of being towed.
