A Laytonville man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his brother Sunday with broken glass and threatening to kill him.

Travis Manion, 34, was booked into the Mendocino County jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats, according to a press release prepared by Mendocino County Sheriff’s Sgt. Joseph DeMarco.

DeMarco said Manion and his brother were arguing Sunday morning when their dispute turned physical, the report states. During the fight, Manion picked up a piece of broken glass and attempted to stab his brother, saying he was going to kill him, according to the report. The victim suffered minor injuries to his face and right hand during the fight, DeMarco said.

The victim was being treated at Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits for lacerations to his hand when he was contacted by deputies. Manion was arrested a short time later without incident, DeMarco said. He is being held on $30,000.00 bail.
