Armed robbery at Santa Rosa beauty salon

Two masked men, one armed with a handgun, made off with some cash and a computer Wednesday evening from a south Santa Rosa beauty salon, authorities said.

The target was Angels Beauty Salon #2 on Santa Rosa Avenue near the Days Inn and East Robles Road, where the two men entered around 5:35 p.m., the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department said.

After seizing the computer and some cash, they ordered at least one person in the shop into the bathroom before fleeing, authorities said.

Witnesses saw a white minivan with a large tinted back window that the robbers may have used to make their getaway, the sheriff's office said.

The minivan was last seen heading north on Santa Rosa Avenue.

The two suspects were both described as thin black men around their mid-20s and standing 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8-inches tall, authorities said.

Both wore ski masks.

The man with the gun also had on a red T-shirt, black sweater and blue jeans, authorities said. The other man was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone who may have information regarding the incident can call the sheriff's Dispatch Center at (707) 565-2121.
