Suspected Rohnert Park DUI driver hits tree, wall

A white BMW crashed in Rohnert Park at 3:47 a.m. Sunday, hitting a tree and a concrete brick wall.|

The driver of a speeding, white BMW northbound on Country Club Drive at Rohnert Park Expressway lost control at 3:47 a.m. Sunday, crossing into the southbound lane before crashing into a tree and a retaining wall, according to Rohnert Park police.

The car hit the tree hard and spun before smashing into the concrete brick retaining wall in front of a residence.

The driver, identified as Jose Ramon Duenas, 33, of Rohnert Park, exited the car on his own but was transported to the hospital.

Duenas, the only occupant of the car at the time of the accident, was later cited for suspected driving while intoxicated.
