CLOVERDALE: Antique shop holds grand opening

Ratto's Uniques & Antiques, located at 124 S. Cloverdale Blvd., is having a grand opening reception from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 3.

Owner Angela Ratto has 20 vendors in the 7,000-square-foot-space, offering old and new merchandise ranging from antiques and collectibles, including a rare assortment of 1920s to 1930s Pink Depression Glass, to artwork and jewelry.

Always on the lookout for vendors with unusual or unique items, Ratto is hoping to have a variety of handmade items available for sale soon as well.

After Labor Day, store hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday to Monday, closed Tuesday and Wednesday. For more information, or to inquire about booth rentals or consignments, call 707-894-6315.

CLOVERDALE: Fundraiser for Sculpture Trail

“Spirits - Cigars & Sculptures,” a benefit for the Cloverdale Sculpture Trail, will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 18, at the Cloverdale History Museum, 215 N. Cloverdale Blvd.

Young & Yonder of Cloverdale will pour craft vodka and gin drinks. Wine and a virgin sangria will also be available, along with pulled pork and vegetarian sliders with coleslaw. Following dessert by the Flour Girl of Cloverdale, guests can relax with a Churchill cigar while listening to the Vantini Duo.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online at 101sculpturetrail.com or at the Mail Center, 207-A N. Cloverdale Blvd. Monies raised will help support the 2017-2018 Cloverdale Sculpture Trail and its planned expansion projects.

HEALDSBURG: Registration for AAUW Fall Forum

The Healdsburg Branch of the American Association of University Women announces the opening of registration for its 2016 Fall Forum classes on Sept. 1.

Chris O'Sullivan will lead “A History of Presidential Elections: From the Ascent of Washington to the Rise of Trump, 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays Oct.4-Nov.8. O'Sullivan will cover the history of U.S. presidential elections from George Washington in 1789 through the 2016 election period.

On 10-11:30 a.m. Thursdays Oct.6-Nov.10, Professors David McCuan and David Peritz offer “2016: The Mother of All Elections.” The professors share the factors influencing U.S. democracy and how those factors indicate votes at the ballot box.

SANTA ROSA: Free use of copiers offered for teachers

A Santa Rosa shipping and receiving store is reaching out to teachers with a Free Copy Fridays campaign to help educators prepare class materials.

Brick Station Post is providing Sonoma County teachers with free use of industrial copiers on Fridays. Discounts will be provided on office supplies.

Teachers receive membership cards for the ongoing campaign. Sign-up sheets are available at Brick Station Post, 4241 Montgomery Drive.

In addition to shipping, receiving and copy and printing services, the family-owned business sells gift items and office supplies and provides notary, passport and mailbox-rental services.

ROHNERT PARK: New fitness studio will open in October

Orangetheory Fitness is opening a studio in Rohnert Park within the Raley's Towne Centre in late October. Built around the concept of 60-minute effective group workouts, this will be the second location in the county joining the Santa Rosa location.

COTATI: New clothing store opens downtown

Bow N Arrow, a new clothing store in Cotati, celebrated its grand opening earlier this month.

Owner Mercedes Hernandez originally launched her business online in 2015 and recently made the leap to a brick and mortar store located at 8200 Old Redwood Highway in downtown Cotati. She has been involved with fashion since she was a teenager.
