Northern California woman shot, killed by husband while squirrel hunting

SACRAMENTO - Authorities say a California woman has died after being shot while squirrel hunting with her husband.

The Sacramento Bee reports (http://bit.ly/2cC9Uaf) that Lee Lao of Sacramento called police Monday afternoon to report that he accidentally shot his wife, Mee Vang, while hunting. Lao led emergency personnel to Vang's location and they confirmed that she had died of her injury.

Investigators say Lao has been cooperative and has been released without criminal charges.
