Highway 101 rollover crash injures three near Penngrove

Dispatchers said the vehicle rolled multiple times, ejecting one person.|

Three people were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital Monday night after their vehicle rolled multiple times on Highway 101 North.

A young woman was driving a silver Ford sedan north near the Penngrove offramp about 7:30 p.m. when she lost control of the car, and it rolled into a grassy embankment on the side of the freeway, Petaluma Fire Department Battalion Chief Jeff Holden said.

One passenger was ejected from the car and unconscious when officers arrived. The second passenger, a young man, suffered a head injury and was conscious but impaired, Holden said.

The driver complained of pain to her neck and numbness in her hands.

No other cars were involved in the crash.

Holden did not know whether alcohol was involved in the crash but said the darkness and rain likely contributed.
