A Santa Rosa man who died after being pinned in a burning car on Lakeville

Highway was identified Tuesday as 22-year-old Michael Marchbanks.

The car Marchbanks was travelling in and another car collided near Highway

37 at about 12:55 a.m. Saturday. CHP investigators believe one of the drivers

may have been drinking, but which driver was at fault remains unknown, CHP

Officer Wayne Ziese said.

The complexities of Saturday's fiery crash are requiring special accident

reconstruction efforts by CHP investigators, Ziese said.

Marchbanks was a passenger in a car driven by Andrea Clark, 18, of

Fairfield.

Clark's car collided with a car driven by Karissa Boucher, 24, of Vallejo.

There weren't many clues left from the crash, and there was only one

witness, who saw little but a swerve and an explosion, Ziese said.

''We're looking at alcohol as a factor but we're not sure if it's the

cause,'' Ziese said.

Boucher remains at Memorial Hospital in serious condition. Clark had minor

injuries.
