Armed man robs Petaluma store

Petaluma police have released a photo of the man, hoping for help finding out his identity.|

An armed and masked man robbed a Petaluma convenience store early Monday, according to Petaluma police.

The man pointed a gun at a clerk and demanded cash before grabbing money from the opened cash register drawer and fleeing.

Police have released images of the robber from the store’s surveillance camera and are seeking the public’s help determining his identity.

The 1:23 a.m. robbery was at the 7-Eleven in the 400 block of Washington Street.

Several police officers responded to a 911 call and searched the area.

Police officials asked anyone with information to contact Officer Parnow at 707-781-1224.
