Alameda County authorities on Friday confirmed Barrett Clark, a 1999 Santa Rosa High School graduate, was among the 36 people killed in Oakland’s Ghost Ship warehouse fire.

Clark, 35, was identified by the coroner’s office along with three other victims of the Dec. 2 blaze at the well-known artists commune.

Friends said Clark, a Bay Area sound engineer, was working on the mezzanine level of an electronic music party attended by about 70 people.

The fire spread quickly, taking many of the occupants by surprise.

Clark was named on an initial Facebook list of people believed missing and presumed dead. A wake was held for him by friends Sunday in San Francisco.

A graduate of Santa Rosa High’s ArtQuest program, Clark was living in Oakland’s Fruitvale neighborhood.
