CONCORD - Two children were taken to the hospital with minor injuries Wednesday after jumping from a window to escape an apartment fire east of San Francisco.

KCBS reports (http://cbsloc.al/2hV4cy8 ) that 30 people were displaced after the fire at an apartment complex in Concord on Wednesday evening.

Contra Costa Co. Fire Protection District Cpt. Lisa Martinez says the two children were transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Their conditions were not immediately available Thursday morning.

Authorities say an apartment caught fire and quickly spread to three other units, forcing the entire wing from their homes.

About 30 people are out of their homes because the utilities won't be back on until sometime Thursday.

The Red Cross was helping people find places to stay.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
