A Healdsburg woman was arrested Monday night on suspicion of drunken driving after she crashed on Highway 101 with her infant daughter in the vehicle, the CHP said Tuesday.

The woman’s 1997 Jeep Wrangler hit a concrete barrier along the highway in Healdsburg and then was hit by another vehicle, CHP Officer Steve Fricke said.

Stacy Galluzi, 38, was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and treated for minor injuries, then booked into the Sonoma County Jail, suspected of felony drunken driving causing injuries and felony child endangerment.

Her 7-month-old daughter was flown to an Oakland hospital, but it appeared she didn’t have critical injuries, Fricke said.

Galluzi was headed north on the highway about 8:30 p.m. when her Jeep drifted off the lane on a curve north of Westside Road. She sideswiped a guardrail then veered across the highway and ended up in the center divide where she hit the barrier, Fricke said.

The Jeep stopped, partially blocking the fast lane. Jacob Gibson, 18, of Hopland, heading north, saw the vehicle in his path and slowed to avoid it, but was rear-ended by driver Katherine Sceales, 49, of Cloverdale, Fricke said. Gibson’s pickup was pushed to the side. Sceales’ Chevrolet SUV crashed into the passenger side of the Jeep, which still held the woman and child.

Gibson and Sceales reportedly weren’t injured.

Galluzi remained in custody Tuesday with bail set at $100,000.
