A Windsor woman who embezzled more than $415,000 from the Gallo wine family-owned Dry Creek General Store has settled her case with prosecutors in an agreement to serve up to 20 months in jail.

Elizabeth Lundy, 49, pleaded no contest on Thursday to allegations she took the money from the Healdsburg-area business while working there as a bookkeeper from 2009 to 2015.

She was caught after the store’s management, headed by Gina Gallo, became suspicious about its revenue. An audit showed Lundy had been spending company money to eat at restaurants and buy sporting tickets, among other things, prosecutor Amy Ariyoshi said.

Lundy has since paid the money back.

Under the initial charges, she faced up to five years in prison. Judge Patrick Broderick will sentence her June 15.
