Regional transportation and government officials are hosting an open house Monday in Santa Rosa to gather feedback on a draft document meant to guide transit development and land-use across the Bay Area for future decades.

Known as Plan Bay Area 2040, the document is a joint effort from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and the Association of Bay Area Governments. It maps out various policy goals in areas such as housing and transportation investment, and it’s an update to a previous plan adopted in 2013.

Officials have been hosting public meetings about the document in all nine Bay Area counties. The Santa Rosa meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Finley Community Center, 2060 W. College Avenue.
