NAPA - A Napa woman and her boyfriend have been convicted of murder in the beating death of her 3-year-old daughter.

Two juries heard separate trials against 27-year-old Sarah Krueger and 29-year-old Ryan Warner simultaneously, and their verdicts were read Tuesday in Napa County Superior Court.

The Napa Valley Register reports (http://bit.ly/2qxsIOX) both were found guilty of murder with special allegations of torture and assault causing the death of a child in the slaying of Kayleigh Slusher.

Police found the girl's body in her bed during a welfare check at Krueger's Napa apartment in January 2014. She had apparently died the day before, with Krueger and Warner putting her body in a freezer before taking her out and fleeing Napa.

Prosecutors said Kayleigh had 41 visible injuries and multiple internal injuries.
