A fiery crash in rural north Santa Rosa Friday left two people injured, including a woman ejected from the vehicle, according to CHP reports.

The Chevrolet Avalanche veered off Mark West Springs Road near Vista Trail about 7:50 p.m. and smashed into a tree, officials said. A woman was ejected from the vehicle, which burst into flames that spread to nearby vegetation, according to the CHP log.

The woman appeared to have major injuries and was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, dispatchers said. Another person in the vehicle appeared to have sustained minor injuries.
