Prosecution delayed for suspected Jenner double-killer
A preliminary hearing was delayed Friday until November for a Forestville man charged with killing his brother earlier this year and identified as the lone suspect in a 13-year-old Jenner double-murder.
Shaun Michael Gallon, 39, made a brief court appearance before Judge Jamie Thistlethwaite, who put off further proceedings until Nov. 3.
The bearded and tattooed Gallon stood silently in a blue jail uniform when his case was called and agreed to waive his speedy trial rights before being led back to jail.
Gallon is accused of killing three people, including his brother Shamus Gallon, 36, also of Forestville, in March. Prosecutors charged him with first-degree murder, alleging he shot his younger sibling multiple times with an assault rifle.
While he was in jail, Gallon, who has a history of violent crime, is alleged to have provided information linking him to the 2004 murders of Lindsay Cutshall, 22, and her fiance, Jason Allen, 26. The midwestern couple were shot as they lay on the beach in Jenner.
The breakthrough was announced in May by then-Sheriff Steve Freitas, who identified Gallon as the killer.
However, prosecutors have not officially charged Gallon in that case. District Attorney Jill Ravitch said her office is awaiting a final investigative report from sheriff’s detectives.
