A man, woman and 16-year-old girl located by police at a Santa Rosa park were arrested in connection with the carjacking of a Jeep Cherokee at a fast-food restaurant in Rohnert Park, authorities said Friday.

The carjacking victim, who was not identified, said he had met three people at the Graton Resort & Casino on Thursday and given them a ride to a Burger King in the 5000 block of Redwood Drive to get food, Sgt. Jeff Justice said in a press release.

After the trio came out of the restaurant, they demanded use of the Jeep, but the victim refused, Justice said.

The man then pulled a knife and threatened to kill the victim, who ran away, and the trio left in his Jeep.

The victim identified the three suspects on surveillance video from inside the restaurant, and said they were acquaintances who frequent Northwest Community Park on Steele Lane, Justice said.

Santa Rosa police spotted the suspects at the park and held them until Rohnert Park investigators arrived. The three suspects were still wearing the same clothes seen in the surveillance video, Justice said.

Emmanuel Corzola Mejia, 36, of Santa Rosa was arrested on suspicion of carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon and held at the Sonoma County Jail on $100,000 bail.

Athena Gorell, 30, of Sebastopol was arrested on suspicion of carjacking, possession of a methamphetamine pipe and outstanding warrants. She was jailed on $155,000 bail.

The girl, a runaway from Los Angeles, was booked into Juvenile Hall for alleged carjacking and providing false identification.
