Armed man robs prescription drugs from Santa Rosa Walgreens

A masked man armed with a long gun robbed the Walgreens store on Highway 12 in Santa Rosa early Saturday, making off with an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs, police said.

The robbery began about 4 a.m., when police said the man entered the store with a white mask covering his face and carrying a black long gun. He demanded prescription medications and then fled the store with them, police said.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Surveillance video captured an image of the suspect, police said. They described him as a white male with a thin build, standing approximately 6 feet, 2 inches, with a black hooded sweatshirt, brown pants and black shoes with white soles.

Police did not describe the prescription drugs stolen in the robbery.
