A car tore through two front gardens before slamming into a garage Thursday afternoon in east Santa Rosa.

The white sedan was heading down Calavaras Drive toward Sacramento Avenue around 2 p.m. when it veered off the street, slamming into the wall of a garage, Santa Rosa Fire Battalion Chief Ken Sebastiani said. He said the driver and his passenger, neither who were identified, escaped injuries. The garage wasn’t so lucky.

“He (driver) took out part of the wall of the garage,” Sebastiani said, adding that the car ended up about two feet into the garage.
