Prosecutors filed additional charges Friday against a Rohnert Park ex-con suspected in a string of robberies throughout Sonoma County and beyond.

William Drew Hodges, 51, now faces eight felony counts in connection with crimes spanning Aug. 23 to Monday, Chief Deputy District Attorney Brian Staebell said.

If convicted, Hodges, who did time for robberies in 1997 and 2009, could be sentenced to life in prison under the state’s three-strikes law.

He was being held on ?$2 million bail.

Hodges was arrested Monday on suspicion of robbing a Rohnert Park nail salon on Sunday. He’s since been accused of holding up a Petaluma tanning salon, a beauty store in Santa Rosa, a Windsor tanning salon and a Cotati cupcake shop. Detectives suspect he may be involved in other cases, including one in San Rafael.

Hodges is scheduled to return to court Wednesday to enter a plea.
