Federal immigration officials and Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa are scheduled to host a workshop Saturday in west Santa Rosa to help local immigrants replace IDs lost during the recent wildfires.

The event, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Resurrection Parish, 303 Stony Point Road, will bring together a number of agencies, including U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Passport Office, Social Security and the state Department of Motor Vehicles.

The Mexican consulate will be available to explain the process for replacing their foreign identification.

“When you’ve lost everything, one of the first things you need to replace is usable ID.

“We’ll help people get what it takes to start pulling their lives together,” acting USCIS district director Roland Lyons said in a statement.
