Santa Rosa man held on drug, weapons allegations after traffic stop

Police founds drugs, cash and a weapon after a stop for a minor traffic violation.|

A 21-year-old Santa Rosa man was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of numerous drug and weapons allegations following a police stop for a minor traffic violation, police said.

An officer spotted the vehicle traveling west on Carrillo Street and eventually stopped it at Glenn Street and College Avenue, Sgt. Christopher Mahurin said in a press release.

Officers found about 20  grams of cocaine inside the vehicle, along with more than $3,500 in cash, items associated with narcotics sales and a .40-caliber handgun with a high-capacity magazine, he said.

Christian Kekoa Bazzano was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of possessing narcotics for sale, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance while armed.

He was also held for having a loaded firearm in public, a high-capacity magazine, having a concealed weapon, possessing a firearm without a serial number and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
