House fire in south Santa Rosa causes extensive damage

A house fire Tuesday caused extensive damage to a house south of downtown Santa Rosa near the junction of highways 101 and 12.

Santa Rosa firefighters fought the fire in the 1000 block of Boyd Street where a retired couple lived in the two-bedroom, wood-frame house.

No one was injured in the fire.
