ANTIOCH - Police in the San Francisco Bay Area say a 4-year-old girl was killed and her 2-year-old sister critically injured when a stolen pickup truck crashed into their vehicle.

KGO-TV of San Jose reports that the girls' mother was also seriously injured in Wednesday's crash in Antioch.

The Contra Costa Sheriff's Department says 23-year-old Noe Saucedo was arrested on one count of murder and two counts of felony evading.

It says Saucedo was driving a stolen pickup truck when a deputy spotted it and began following, without activating his emergency lights. Saucedo allegedly left the highway, sped through a red light and collided with the other pickup.

It was not immediately clear if Saucedo has an attorney.

The girls' father, Jesus Cardoza, says the tragedy could have been averted if police used their emergency lights.
