Investigation continues into body found in burning Windsor pickup

The man was burned in a weekend fire but whether it was the fire or something else that killed him remains under investigation.|

The death of a man found inside a burned truck in a Windsor vineyard remained under investigation Wednesday as investigators await dental records to verify his identify, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was burned in the fire but whether it was the fire or something else that killed him also remained under investigation.

Windsor firefighters found the man after 4:30 p.m. Saturday when they went to Los Amigos Road near Limerick Lane for a fire.

A Chevrolet pickup was burning in a vineyard and the man’s body was in the driver’s seat.
