Bomb threat clears Twin Pine Casino in Middletown

Lake County sheriff’s deputies searched the Twin Pine Casino and Hotel property Tuesday and found nothing suspicious, according to the Sheriff’s Office.|

Lake County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a bomb threat at Twin Pine Casino and Hotel in Middletown.

A 9:30 a.m. caller said there were explosive devices in the casino and hotel and staff evacuated the properties and called deputies, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

A search turned up nothing suspicious. The business was expected to open at 4 p.m.

The threat and identity of the caller remained under investigation. Twin Pine is owned and operated by the Middletown Rancheria of California Pomo Indians.
