A 63-year-old woman died Thursday evening in a head-on collision on Highway 29 outside Middletown, the CHP reported Friday.

Middletown resident Lottie Marie Cline was traveling south on the highway in a 2006 Honda Odyssey minivan when it crossed over the solid, double yellow line and struck a northbound F-350 pickup driven by Roberto C. V. Gonzalez of Lakeport, CHP said.

Cline died in the crash, which occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. north of Butts Canyon Road. Gonzalez and a passenger, Victor M. Villanueva, 32, of Lakeport, both sustained moderate injuries and were transported by medical helicopter to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

“Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to be a factor in this collision,” CHP said in a statement. The drivers and passengers all were wearing seat belts.

The crash remains under investigation.
