OAKLAND, Calif. - A jogger who was filmed throwing away a homeless man's possessions in Oakland is facing a robbery charge stemming from a related confrontation.

Alameda County prosecutors on Wednesday charged 30-year-old Henry Sintay with second-degree robbery. The San Francisco Chronicle says video footage captured Sintay on Friday tossing out a homeless man's possessions that were near Oakland's Lake Merritt.

The robbery charge stems from an incident the next day that the East Bay Times says was also captured on video. The newspaper says that video shows Sintay wading into the lake apparently to recover some of the homeless man's belongings and then snatching the cellphone of a man recording him and asking him questions.

A call to the district attorney's office to see whether Sintay had an attorney was not immediately returned.
