Two shot at east Santa Rosa home

At least two people were shot Sunday night at an east Santa Rosa home, according initial police reports.

Gunshots were heard inside a home on the 400 block of Garfield Park Avenue around 8:15 p.m. Sunday. One adult and one child were taken to a local hospital with bullet wounds, according to police radio.

Police officers set up a perimeter around the home. A SWAT team and Sonoma County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the property, but left by around 9 p.m.

The situation is contained and no one else in the area is at risk, police said. An evacuation order for the surrounding neighborhood was lifted about 9:20 p.m.
