Police have arrested a man accused of attempting to kidnap a girl who was walking down the street in San Francisco.|

SAN FRANCISCO - Police have arrested a man accused of attempting to kidnap a girl who was walking down the street in San Francisco.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/2nMVI3q) that the attempted kidnapping occurred Wednesday in the city's West Portal neighborhood.

Police say an arrest has been made, but did not provide any additional details.

San Francisco police spokeswoman Giselle Talkoff says the girl, whose age wasn't specified, was walking down the street when a man got out of his car and grabbed her, trying to pull her into the vehicle. The girl screamed and bystanders intervened.
