MUNISING, Mich. - A San Francisco Bay Area woman has died after falling 200 feet at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

The National Park Service says 32-year-old Tu Thanh Nguyen of Sunnyvale accidentally fell while hiking and taking pictures by herself Wednesday on the North Country Trail. Kayakers who witnessed the fall got her to shore near Chapel Beach, but she didn't survive.

Pictured Rocks is a long, narrow park with 15 miles of cliffs along Lake Superior.
