Former White House appointee James Gore and longtime Windsor Town Councilwoman Deb Fudge will square off Thursday night in their second candidates’ forum for the 4th District supervisorial race.

The event, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Raven Theater in Healdsburg, is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Sonoma County.

Gore and Fudge are vying to replace Supervisor Mike McGuire, who represents a district stretching from northern Santa Rosa to the Mendocino County line, including Windsor, Healdsburg, Cloverdale and Geyserville. McGuire is running for state Senate.

Following opening statements, Gore and Fudge will ask each other two questions they’ve prepared. The two may be given the opportunity for rebuttal, forum organizers said. Each will then field about a dozen questions from league organizers and audience members.

The runoff has been closely contested, with Gore outspending Fudge so far and independent campaigns jumping in on both sides in recent weeks.

The Raven Theater is located at 115 North St. in Healdsburg.

A third forum in the race, hosted by the California Parenting Institute, is set for Oct. 8.
