Lakeport police Friday were looking for a teen girl who didn’t show up home after telling her mother in a phone call that she was on her way.

Kirsten Layton, 15, was last seen at about 4:45 p.m. Thursday on South Main Street near Martin Street, Lakeport Police Lt. Jason Ferguson said.

Layton’s mother called the girl’s cellphone and Layton said she was on the way home, police said.

But she did not show up.

Layton has brown hair, blue eyes and is about 5-feet-1 and 130 pounds.

Anyone with information about the case can call the Lakeport Police Department at 263-5491.
