A Sonoma County deputy on patrol Friday found a vehicle investigators suspect was the white Hyundai used to drop off a man bleeding from gunshot wounds in front of a Windsor market, a sheriff’s official said.

The 31-year-old Sonoma County man was shot Thursday morning at a home on Starr Road and driven about a mile away and dropped off in front of Pohley’s Market on Windsor River Road near the Town Green, where he asked a clerk to call 911.

Multiple people were present during the shooting, including a Windsor man being held on $1 million bail on suspicion of attempted murder, Sgt. Shannon McAlvain said. He also said multiple people were in the Hyundai when it dropped off the wounded man and drove away.

Detectives on Friday still were interviewing those involved and developing a sense of why the man was shot and what took place at a home near Keiser Community Park where they found an “extensive” crime scene.

“There are still people that need to be talked to, so we’re not clear on motive yet,” McAlvain said.

The shooting did not appear to be gang-related; however, Mc-?Alvain said he could not say whether drugs were a factor in the violent encounter.

The wounded man suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. McAlvain said he did not know the man’s condition Friday.

The suspected shooter, Jason Bulcke, 36, of Windsor, was being held at the Sonoma County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail. Eric Denno, 29, of Santa Rosa was being held on $20,000 bail at the jail on suspicion of being an accessory to attempted murder, sheriff’s officials said.

Both men were scheduled to be arraigned in court Tuesday, according to jail records.

The men were arrested Thursday after an extensive search involving multiple agencies and the sheriff’s helicopter throughout the west Windsor neighborhood near the Town Green and Windsor High School.

A third man detained in the aftermath of the shooting was interviewed and released, Mc-?Alvain said.

The Hyundai was found in Rohnert Park at about 11 a.m. Friday, McAlvain said. Detectives on Thursday said they were looking for the car.

McAlvain said he was not ready to release the identity of the wounded man Friday because “we’re still in the middle of an investigation.”
