Police are searching for a Petaluma man suspected of beating a woman in a domestic dispute Sunday.

Henry Flores, 30, is suspected of beating the 22-year-old woman at a residence on Petaluma Boulevard North on Sunday morning. The woman had serious facial injuries, including a cut requiring stitches, police said.

Flores attempted to return to the house Sunday evening, but fled after police were dispatched to the home. Police searched the area aided by a Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, but did not locate Flores.

Flores, who is currently out on bail from a recent auto theft case, is wanted by police on suspicion of felony domestic battery.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to notify Petaluma Police Department at 778-4373.
