The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who fled last week when deputies tried to arrest him on a felony warrant.

Riley Keisel, 31, remains at large after setting off a manhunt Friday when he ran out of a home in the 44000 block of Crestwood Drive in Mendocino and into a nearby wooded area, sheriff’s Capt. Greg Van Patten said in a news statement. He said members from the sheriff’s K9 units, Fort Bragg police, CHP, state parks, and the Department of Fish and Wildlife swept the wooded for an hour or two but were unsuccessful in finding the man.

Keisel, who was last seen wearing black jeans, blue jacket, purple bandanna and a large green backpack, was initially wanted on felony warrant out of Humboldt County, Van Patten said. The man is considered armed and dangerous, he added.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the sheriff’s dispatch at 463-4086.
